Welcome to the Westinghouse website (“Site”). Please read these terms carefully before using the Site. The Site may be used for informational purposes only. By using the Site or downloading materials from the Site, you agree to follow these terms and conditions and all of our terms, conditions and policies set out or otherwise referenced on the Site (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please exit the Site. By accessing the Site, you indicate your agreement to be bound by these Terms.

  • Cookies

    The Electrolux Group owns the Electrolux brand and Electrolux Home Products Pty Ltd ACN 004 762 341 (“Electrolux”), is the operator of the Site.  Electrolux uses "cookie" technology to enhance and facilitate your visit to the Site. The "cookie" files are sent to your computer and identify you as a unique user and store your personal preferences and technical information. We use:

    (a) Permanent "cookies" (i.e., the cookies remain on your computer until you delete them); and


    (b) Temporary "cookies" (i.e., the cookies last until you close your browser).


    "Cookies" do not themselves contain or reveal any personal information. If you submit personal information via the Site, your information can be linked to the data stored in the cookies.


    If you do not accept Electrolux's use of cookies you may change your browser settings so that the browser does not accept cookies (instructions on how to change your browser's cookie settings should be found in the help section in your web browser). If you change the settings you may not be able to access certain parts of the Site.

  • License

    Subject to these Terms, Electrolux grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to access, use and display this Site for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to interrupt or attempt to interrupt the operation of the Site in any way.


    Electrolux authorises you to view and/or download the information on the Site and any software made available through the Site ("Materials") only for your personal, non-commercial use. This authorisation is not a transfer of title in the Materials or copies of the Materials and is subject to the following restrictions: (1) you must retain, on all copies of the Materials, all copyright and other proprietary notices contained in the Materials; (2) you may not copy or modify the Materials or any portion of the Site in any way or reproduce or publicly display, perform, transmit, reuse, repost, publish, licence, adapt, create derivative works, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, transfer, lease, sell, distribute or otherwise use or communicate the Materials or any portion of the Site for any public or commercial purpose; and (3) you must not transfer the Materials to any other person unless you give them notice of, and they agree to accept, the obligations arising under these Terms. You agree to abide by all additional restrictions displayed on the Site as it may be updated from time to time. The Site, including all Materials, is protected by worldwide copyright laws and treaty provisions. You agree to comply with all copyright laws worldwide in your use of the Site and Materials. Except as expressly provided in these Terms, Electrolux does not grant any express or implied right to you under any patents, designs, trademarks, copyrights or trade secret legislation.

  • User Accounts

    You might be required to open an account to be able to access certain restricted parts of the Site. In such event you must complete the registration process by providing us with complete and accurate information as stated in the applicable registration form. You will also be required to choose a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Furthermore, you are responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Electrolux immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security of which you are aware or ought reasonably be aware. Electrolux will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account.

  • User warranties

    You represent and warrant that you will use the Site in compliance with these Terms including the laws and provisions under these Terms and to comply with all existing and future Site policies and rules. You agree that you will not use the Site to: (a) transmit spam or unsolicited communications; (b) pretend to be Electrolux or someone else; (c) forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any content transmitted through the Site; (d) misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; (e) act in a manner that negatively affects other users' ability to use the Site; (f) engage in activities that would violate any applicable law, (g) post or transmit any material which violates or infringes in any way upon the rights of others or which is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, vulgar or otherwise objectionable or which contains any advertising or solicitation with respect to products or services; (h) collect or store personal data about other users unless specifically authorised by such users; or (i) not adhere to withdrawal of such authorisation as described in (h). If you do not comply with these Terms, you may not use the Site and Electrolux reserves all its legal rights in relation to such non-compliance.

    You further agree to provide Electrolux with all assistance reasonably requested by Electrolux, its affiliates or subsidiaries and any other party involved in creating, producing or delivering the Site and their respective officers, directors and agents in relation to any claims arising out of your use of, or access to, the Site or the Materials, any breach of these Terms and any allegation that any user content that you make available or create through the Site infringes the copyright, trade mark, trade secret, privacy or other intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

  • Changes

    Electrolux reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove any portion of these Terms in whole or in part, at any time. Changes in these Terms will be effective when notice of such changes is posted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after any changes to these Terms are posted will be considered acceptance of those changes.  You should revisit this page on the Site when you access the Site to review the terms by which you are bound.  If do not agree to any posted change to these Terms, please exit the Site and immediately destroy all Materials.

    Electrolux may terminate, change, correct any errors or omissions in any portion of the Site, make any other changes to the Site, the Materials, the products, the product data, the product materials, programs, services or prices (if any) described in the Site, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the Site, including the availability of any features of the Site, at any time without notice.

    Electrolux may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict your access to parts or the entire Site without notice or liability. Electrolux may terminate the authorisation, rights and license given under these Terms at any time and, upon such termination, you shall immediately destroy all Materials.

  • Acknowledgement of intellectual property rights
    You acknowledge that all intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, copyright, patents, know-how, confidential information, database rights, and rights in trademarks and designs, whether registered or unregistered) on the Site and in the Materials (including all text and images) are owned by Electrolux or its related bodies corporate or its licensors ("Intellectual Property Rights"). All goodwill arising through the use of the Intellectual Property Rights owned by Electrolux or its related bodies corporate or its licensors shall inure to Electrolux or its related bodies corporate or its licensors, as the case may be. Your use of those Intellectual Property Rights without the permission of Electrolux is strictly prohibited, except as set out in these Terms.
  • Information provided by you

    Any personal information you may provide is subject to our Privacy Policy. You agree that any information or materials that you or individuals acting on your behalf provide to Electrolux will not be considered confidential.


    Electrolux uses a number of third-party social media sites, including Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. These social media sites are subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies. Electrolux does not necessarily endorse, support, sanction, encourage, verify or agree with any comments, opinions or statements posted by any users or members on our Sites or social media sites.


    You must not post or upload any information, comment, content, materials or link to the Sites or social media sites that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, defamatory, bullying, indecent or inflammatory. Electrolux may, but is not obliged, to moderate any user-generated content and may remove any content that, in Electrolux’s discretion, is inappropriate. Electrolux may provide warnings or otherwise block or suspend users or their accounts.


    You warrant that you have the permission of the person appearing, or whose content is appearing, in the content you submit that they unconditionally and irrevocably consents to any act or omission which might infringe any moral rights they may have in the content under any law.


    Electrolux, its affiliates and partners may freely use, copy, reproduce, publish, display, publicly perform, transmit, distribute, modify or alter user submitted content, and Materials, and you further agree that Electrolux is free to use any ideas, concepts or know-how that you or individuals acting on your behalf provide to Electrolux for any purpose (including any promotions or campaigns) at any time in the future and via any media.

  • Security

    You must not: (a) use any device or software capable of interfering with the operation of the Site; or (b) take any action, which imposes a disproportionately large or unreasonable load upon the infrastructure of the Site (such as sending mass emails - "spamming"); or (c) interfere or tamper with the software or functionality of the Site. This includes putting material on the Site, which is infected with viruses, trojan horses, time bombs or other elements that may damage or interfere with the programming structure of the Site.

  • Third party websites
    Electrolux does not undertake to monitor or review third-party site content nor is Electrolux responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any such third-party websites. Furthermore, Electrolux may provide on the Site links to websites operated by other entities. If you use these websites, you will leave the Site. If you visit any linked website, you do so at your own risk and it is your responsibility to take all protective measures to guard against viruses or other destructive elements. Electrolux makes no warranty or representation regarding any linked websites or the information appearing on any linked websites or any of the products or services described on any linked websites. Links do not imply that Electrolux or the Site sponsors, endorses, is affiliated or associated with, or is legally authorised to use any trademark, trade name, logo or copyright symbol displayed in or accessible through the links, or that any linked website is authorised to use any trademark, trade name, logo or copyright symbol of Electrolux or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries.
  • External links to the site
    All links to the Site must be approved in writing by Electrolux, except that Electrolux consents to: (i) text-only links containing only the name “Electrolux” and that do not otherwise contain any of Electrolux’s or its licensor's proprietary trademarks; (ii) the link "points" only to www.electrolux.com.au and not to deeper pages; (iii) the link, when activated by a user, displays that page full-screen in a fully operable and navigable browser window and not within a "frame" on the linked website; and (iv) the appearance, position, and other aspects of the link may neither create the false appearance that an entity or its activities or products are associated with or sponsored by Electrolux nor be such as to damage or dilute the goodwill associated with the name and trademarks of Electrolux or its affiliates or subsidiaries. Electrolux reserves the right to revoke this consent to link at any time in its sole discretion.
  • Exclusion of implied warranties
    Although care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the Materials, the Materials may contain inaccuracies and typographical errors. To the extent permitted by law, Electrolux does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of the Materials or the reliability of any advice, opinion, statement, memorandum or other information displayed or distributed through the Site and you acknowledge that any reliance on any such opinion, advice, statement, memorandum or information shall be at your sole risk. All content is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, Electrolux expressly disclaims any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or as to the operation of the Site or the Materials. Electrolux does not warrant or make any representations as to the security of the Site. You acknowledge any information sent may be intercepted. Electrolux does not warrant that the Site or the servers which make the Site will be available or that electronic communications sent by Electrolux, the Site or the Materials are free from viruses or any other harmful elements. All such representations, warranties and conditions are excluded except to the extent that the law prohibits their exclusion. Notwithstanding anything else in these Terms, Electrolux does not exclude any warranties or conditions that cannot be excluded by law.
  • Limitation of liability
    To the extent permitted by law, in no event shall Electrolux be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, punitive, special or incidental damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business, contract, revenue, data, information or business interruption) resulting from, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use the Site or the Materials or out of or in connection with these Terms, even if Electrolux has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In addition to these Terms, to the extent permitted by law, in no event shall Electrolux be liable for any errors, inaccuracies, omissions or other defects or untimeliness or inauthenticity of any information contained on the Site.
  • Duty to mitigate losses
    Without prejudice to the limitation of Electrolux’s liability under these Terms, you shall take all reasonable steps to mitigate your loss arising in relation to any claim or action (whether for negligence, breach of contract or otherwise), which you may bring against Electrolux.
  • Notices
    All references to "writing", "notices", and "notification" and all related expressions shall cover electronic methods of communication (for instance, e-mail) provided that the party relying on the communication retains acceptable evidence that the communication was sent and received.
  • Remedy
    If Electrolux does not comply with its undertakings under these Terms, it shall either correct the non-compliance or, at its option, terminate the agreement created by your acceptance of these Terms by prior notice, posted on the Site, to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, this clause expresses your sole and exclusive remedy in relation to non-compliance by Electrolux.
  • Whole agreement and severability
    These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Electrolux and you with respect to your use of the Site. To the extent permitted by law, any cause of action you may have with respect to your use of the Site or the Materials must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these Terms or any portion of these Terms, to be unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to affect the intent of these Terms, and the remainder of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
  • Third party rights
    Except as expressly provided in these Terms, a person who is not a party to these Terms may not enforce any of its Terms.
  • Jurisdiction statement
    The Site is controlled, operated and administered by Electrolux from its offices in Australia. Electrolux makes no representation that the Materials are appropriate or available for use at other locations outside of Australia and access to them from territories where their contents are illegal is prohibited. If you access the Site from locations outside of Australia, you are responsible for compliance with all local laws. The laws of New South Wales, Australia shall govern these Terms, without giving effect to its conflict of laws provisions. The Courts of New South Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction on any dispute arising from these Terms.

Privacy Policy

  • 1. Purpose of this Privacy Policy
    This Privacy Policy is issued by Electrolux Home Products Pty Limited (ABN 51 004 762 341) and its related companies ("Electrolux").

    Electrolux is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose personal information provided to us in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the Electrolux Terms and Conditions and the terms of use for mobile applications.

    Electrolux reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by publishing the updated Privacy Policy on our website, at www.westinghouse.com.au/support/privacy-policy/ or through our online and mobile applications (together, "Sites").

    If you are a commercial customer of Electrolux that has filled out our Credit Application Form, this policy also sets out how we collect, store and use your commercial credit information and commercial credit eligibility information ("Commercial Credit Related Personal Information") about you at section 10. This section of the policy applies to current, former and prospective commercial credit customers of Electrolux.
  • 2. What information we collect
    Generally, the personal information we collect and store consists of your name, address (including email address) and contact details (which may include home, business and mobile phone numbers). It is possible that where a specific product or service is involved, we may collect personal information from you that relates to that particular product, service or warranty repair. We may also collect personal and non-identifying information from your use of your appliances supplied by us, through your appliance, to you as well as equipment information (such as network interface addresses and appliance location) or when you submit a form on our Sites or sign up or use our mobile applications.

    The information that we collect from you when you interact with us online depends on the tasks you complete on the Sites or through the use of our products. From time to time, you may be able to interact with us anonymously or by pseudonym. However, if you choose not to provide us with certain personal information, we are unlikely to be able to provide you with the products or services that you want or to respond to your inquiry or you may not be able to access and use all of the functions and features of our appliances or mobile applications.

    You understand that any information or materials that you (or individuals acting on your behalf or under your account) provide to us are not considered confidential or proprietary.

    (I) Browsing SITES and using our products When you visit and browse through our Site or use our products, we collect data for statistical and maintenance purposes that enables us to evaluate the performance of our Site or products. Such general information includes:
    • the number of users visiting our Site or using our products and the number of pages viewed;
    • the date, time and duration of visits; and
    • the path taken through our Site.
    This information will not identify you and we will not combine it with any information in a manner whereby we can identify you.

    Our Site may also allow you to submit forms including reviews of our products. If you submit a form we may collect personal information about you for the purpose of the form. In particular, if you submit a review via our Sites, in addition to the content of your review (including any product photos or videos you provide), we may collect:
    • the date and time of your submission;
    • your username and email address;
    • your IP address;
    • your device's precise location information (if you permit our Site to access location services through the permission system in your device);
    • your device fingerprint, which includes the IP address and the 'device signature' (which will vary depending on the device but will usually include without limitation your device's MAC address, unique device identifier, operating system, browser version, and other information);
    • additional information about the submission (such as whether it was incentivised, obtained from staff etc); and
    • the Site the submission was collected from.
    This information is used to moderate the submsisions and determine if a review posted is authentic. The content of any reviews, along with the username you provided and the date of your review, may be made public and displayed on our Site and on other merchants' websites who sell our product that you have reviewed.

    If you submit a review of our products on a merchant's website, similar personal information including the content of the review may be provided to us by the merchant and the review may also be displayed on our Site.

    (II) Applying for a product or service, requesting information online or using "contact us" We need to obtain personal information from you in order to complete your online application for product or service information. When completing Product Registration or requesting other product or service information or when using contact us you will need to complete an online form on this Site. Our online forms will ask you to provide personal information for contact purposes, for example, your name, own address, e-mail address, telephone number (which may include home, business or mobile numbers) and purchase information. You will have the right to choose whether or not to provide additional personal information.

    (III) E-mails You can contact us by e-mail via the link on this Site. You have the choice whether or not to provide personal information other than your name and e-mail address.

    (IV) Mobile Applications In addition, we may provide or make available mobile applications in conjunction with our products and services. If so, then you may be required to sign-up for a user account to access and otherwise use the full features and functionality of the mobile applications. As part of the sign-up process, we will collect personal information from you to enable us to set up your online account for use with the mobile applications. The personal information includes your name, address, email address, and other relevant information. If you do not provide us with such personal information, then we may not be able to set up your online account. If so, then you may not be able to access or use the full features and functionality of the mobile applications or the applicable appliances. You may share information and materials with us ("user content") through mobile applications, including scanned materials, images, photos, ratings, and user data. The user content may contain personal information.

    You allow us to access, collect and use user content according to our terms of use for mobile applications. You must ensure that any user content is fully owned by you or you have obtained all required consent or licenses to provide such user content, including allowing us to access, collect and use such user content.

    (V) Our contractors and their personnel We collect personal information from our contractors as contemplated by this Privacy Policy. From time to time, we may also collect the personal information of our contractors' personnel for the purposes specified at paragraph 4 of this Privacy Policy. We require our contractors to be responsible for providing their personnel with a copy of this Privacy Policy and any other notice in relation to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by Electrolux.
  • 3. How We Collect Personal Information
    Electrolux collects personal information in a number of ways, including:
    • when you request information concerning a product of interest to you, make other enquiries or place an order for our products or services;
    • when you attend an event, enter a competition or participate in a promotion;
    • when you register your purchase(s) so you can receive all the benefits to which your purchase(s) entitles you;
    • through your Electrolux appliance, such as when you connect your appliance with an Electrolux mobile application (if such functionality is available for your appliance);
      • removing the mobile application from your mobile device will not automatically stop your appliance from being connected to Electrolux services through the internet, and personal information may still be collected. If you want to remove such connection to Electrolux services, this can be done through the mobile application before deleting the mobile application from your mobile device or alternatively on the appliance itself by switching off Wi-Fi;
    • when you enter your personal details:
      • on our websites (for example when you sign up to receive our newsletters);
      • through the software applications that we make available to you when you provide information via fax or over the telephone;
        or
      • in documents such as warranty registration forms;
    • when you register as a member of one of our loyalty clubs or membership programs;
    • when you provide feedback on our products or services;
    • when you engage with us by social media, such as by posting on our Facebook page;
    • from third parties such as our related companies, contractors and agents;
    • from sources of information which are available to the public;
    • from records relating to the use, service and repair of your Electrolux products;
    • from your employer to provide information to us in the course of conducting or administering our relationship with you;
    • when you submit a job application to us;
    • from our other Sites; and
    • where we are otherwise required or authorised by law to do so.

    Any information which is not capable of identifying you, such as the number of users visiting this Site, is collected through code embedded in the pages of this Site. You are unable to disable the code on these pages.

    Other information, such as browser type, is included in a "cookie". Cookies are pieces of information that a website can transfer to an individual’s computer hard drive for record keeping. Cookies make using our Site easier by storing information about your choices on a particular website. This will enable you to take full advantage of the services offered to you. The use of cookies is an industry standard utilised by most major websites. Most Internet browsers are set to accept cookies. If you would prefer not to receive cookies you are able to adjust your Internet browser to disable cookies or to warn you when cookies are being used.

    Electrolux also gathers information from our websites or other websites. This information is put together for reporting purposes. Any characteristics which are capable of personally identifying the user are removed. The information is gathered in order to enable us to examine Internet trends and demographics, to conduct market and statistical research, to help us to develop better products, to get to know our consumers better and to assist in improving the structure and ease of use of our websites.

    To show targeted messages to users within the Google Network (such as Gmail, YouTube, Google Discover, etc.) we may at times use the service Google Audience from Google. For this purpose, we provide Google with a customer list that includes the email address that you provided to us when you registered. This allows Google to create a profile about your usage patterns on our website in order to display advertisements in a more targeted manner in order to present Electrolux advertisements of interest to users on other apps and websites within the Google Network. You can withdraw your consent from this via your marketing permission settings. It is possible that you may still see advertisements from Electrolux after such withdrawal, or if you did not consent in the first place, but these advertisements from third-party platforms will be at random. If you no longer agree to us providing your data to Google, you can use settings and opt-out options provided by Google or opt out via your marketing permission settings.

    This Site may include hyperlinks that enable you to access a number of other websites and online applications operated by Electrolux or by our related companies. Where this Site includes hyperlinks to third-party websites not operated by Electrolux we recommend that you read the privacy and security provisions relevant to those sites in order that you understand how those organisations will deal with your personal information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third-party sites.
  • 4. What We Do with Your Personal Information
    We may use your personal information to:
    • identify you and assist you in your use of our products and services;
    • provide the services and information relating to Electrolux and its products that you require;
    • administer and manage the services we provide;
    • gain a better understanding of your requirements in order for us to provide you with better and more personalised information suited to your needs, including sending you personalised messages about special offers and invitations from Electrolux and its partners;
    • process any job application submitted by you;
    • research and develop our products and services; and
    • maintain and develop our business systems and infrastructure including testing and upgrading of these systems.

    From time to time, Electrolux may use your personal information to promote other services and products to you which we consider may be of interest to you. You may also receive marketing communications from third parties such as our contractors, agents, partners and suppliers in relation to their products or services that are related or complementary to the products or services we supply to you. You may be contacted by telephone, email, SMS, mail, social media and other digital channels if you have provided us with those details. You may notify us at any time that you no longer wish to receive any of these marketing communications and opt out of receiving the particular communication by responding via the channel in which you received the marketing communication, by using the contact us page to enter this request in the "Comments" section provided, or by contacting us at the address given below. If you have installed a mobile application and you want to stop receiving push notifications, you can do so by changing the settings on your mobile phone or in the mobile application.

    Certain user profile information, including your name, location, and any video or image content that you have uploaded to the Site, may be displayed to other users to facilitate user interaction within the Site or address your request for our services. Your account privacy settings may allow you to limit the other users who can see the personal information in your user profile and/or what information in your user profile is visible to others. Please remember that any content you upload to your public user profile, along with any personal information or content that you voluntarily disclose online in a manner other users can view (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, etc.) becomes publicly available, and can be collected and used by anyone. Your user name may also be displayed to other users if and when you send messages or comments or upload images or videos through the Site and other users can contact you through messages and comments.

  • 5. How Your Personal Information is Stored
    Electrolux takes great care to protect your privacy. Any information provided to us on this Site is protected using Secure Sockets Layer protocols during transmission to us.

    When we transfer your personal information between our servers, we use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that this is done securely. Access to our key servers is protected by firewall security systems where required, relative to the risk of the information stored. In addition, we may use an Intrusion Detection System to monitor potential privacy and security threats.

    Any information stored in documents or on Electrolux systems is protected from unauthorised access by the use of a number of security procedures including user passwords.

    While we aim to use our best efforts to secure and protect your personal information held by us, we cannot guarantee the security of any such personal information that is provided or transmitted to us by you. Any such provision of information is at your own risk.
  • 6. When We Disclose Your Personal Information
    Electrolux may disclose your personal information to organisations outside of Electrolux and those organisations may be located (and your personal information may be disclosed) overseas (such as New Zealand, Singapore and the European Union). These disclosures are made subject to suitable protection for privacy and confidentiality being in place. The organisations to which we would usually disclose your information include:
    • third-party organisations who have been retained by Electrolux to assist us in providing services to you including delivery, installation, maintenance and repair;
    • suppliers, agents and other third parties (including merchants) with whom we have commercial relationships, for business, marketing and related purposes, including to market to you products or services that are related or complementary to the products or services we supply to you;
    • merchants who sell our products, if you submit a product review via our Site that refers to that merchant, or who will otherwise receive the content of your review for display on their websites in connection with that product;
    • market research, marketing and/or telemarketing service providers;
    • our professional advisers, for example, our auditors and lawyers, as well as our insurers;
    • government, regulatory or other organisations to whom we are required to disclose your personal information by law; and
    • our related companies and product partners where we have received a product complaint or claim, for example, to our contract manufacturers, logistic service providers or other third parties in the supply chain, who may be located overseas, depending on where the relevant product or part was manufactured.
    We may disclose your personal information to overseas members of the Electrolux group of companies (and their partners), such as New Zealand, Singapore and the European Union, who may communicate with you about certain products or special offers.

    We may disclose your information to a purchaser or successor entity in connection with the sale of Electrolux or a related body corporate, or a business unit owned by Electrolux or a related body corporate, or the sale of substantially all of the assets of Electrolux or a related body corporate.

    Electrolux takes reasonable steps to ensure that any personal information we collect, disclose and use is as up-to-date as possible. However, it is important that you advise us of any changes to your personal information or if there are any errors in the personal information we hold about you.

    Subject to certain exceptions allowed by law, everyone who has provided personal information has the right to access that personal information. For security reasons, you will be required to put any request for access to your personal information into writing. You may obtain access to your own personal information by contacting us via the contact us page or at the address below. Electrolux may charge you a $25 fee for the retrieval of your personal information in order to cover our reasonable administration costs. You should also contact us if you wish to correct any of your personal information.

    If you have any concerns about our handling or treatment of your personal information or if you believe that your privacy has been breached, please contact us by writing to our Privacy Manager at the address below setting out the nature of your complaint.

    We will investigate your complaint and endeavour to provide you with our response within a reasonable time of receiving your complaint.  If after receiving our response, you still consider that your privacy complaint has not been resolved, you may refer your complaint to the Australian Privacy Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

  • 10. Commercial Credit Reporting Policy

    This part of the Privacy Policy is only applicable to customers that we provide commercial credit to. It explains how we collect, use disclose and hold Commercial Credit Related Personal Information and commercial credit eligibility information about such individuals and entities. It also outlines additional personal information we may collect for these purposes. For these customers, we may also use the personal information described at section 2 of this Privacy Policy for these credit reporting purposes.

    Commercial Credit Related Personal Information includes information about you we collect from commercial credit applications made by you or an organisation you are related to (your organisation), credit accounts we hold and credit reports we obtain from credit reporting bodies (CRBs).

    Generally we collect Commercial Credit Related Personal Information from you directly but we also collect it from third parties who provide credit reports. We use the credit reporting services provided by the following CRBs:

    Those CRBs may include the information provided by credit providers in reports to assist in the assessment of credit worthiness. The CRBs may use the credit reporting information they hold about you for "pre-screening" for direct marketing. You have the right to request the CRBs not use your credit reporting information for pre-screening purposes, and not to use or disclose the information if you believe on reasonable grounds that you have been or are likely to be a victim of fraud. Please refer to each CRB's respective credit reporting policy on their websites (see links above) for details on their management of credit reporting information.

    Commercial Credit Related Personal Information we collect and hold may include the following types of information about individuals:

    • identification information about you including your current and prior names and addresses, any known alias you may have, your date of birth, your current or last known employer and your driver's licence number;
    • a statement that an information request has been made about the individual in relation to commercial credit;
    • the type of commercial credit and the amount of commercial credit sought in an application;
    • default information (and where a default has been remedied, payment information or new arrangement information);
    • court proceedings information;
    • personal insolvency information;
    • certain administrative information relating to credit, such as account and customer numbers;
    • commercial credit reporting information we receive from a CRB including business credit scores and ratings; and
    • information that we derive from the commercial credit reporting information we receive from CRBs.

    We collect, use and store Commercial Credit Related Personal Information about you to allow us to sell our products and services and to conduct our business. We may collect, hold and use your Commercial Credit Related Personal Information for the following purposes:

    • to manage and administer any account you may hold with us;
    • to manage and maintain credit accounts for the provision of goods or services on credit;
    • to carry out credit checks and credit reporting where you or your business are seeking to use a credit facility, but only in accordance with this Credit Reporting Policy;
    • to carry out checks on the Personal Property and Securities Register (PPSR) (which may involve a disclosure to the PPSR operator) to confirm your business' details including ACN or ABN where you have applied for credit; and
    • to carry out debt and equipment or goods recovery functions.

    We may disclose, or provide access to, your Commercial Credit Related Personal Information to third parties in connection with the purposes described above. We may also disclose your Commercial Credit Related Personal Information to third parties such as CRBs, other entities who are your credit providers or trade suppliers, debt collection agencies and government / regulatory authorities.

    We may otherwise collect, use or disclose your personal information and Commercial Credit Related Personal Information where the collection, use or disclosure is:

    • in accordance with this Privacy Policy or any agreement you enter into with us; or
    • required or authorised by law, including without limitation the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

     

    For these customers, disclosure overseas as provided in section 6 of the Privacy Policy, as well as sections 7, 8 and 9 of the Privacy Policy (access, correction, complaints, and contacting us) apply in the same way to Commercial Credit Related Personal Information as they apply to Personal Information as though Commercial Credit Related Personal Information is included in references to Personal Information.

Limited ABN 51 004 762 341. and its related entities (collectively EHP, we, us or our) to provide services or products requested by you, register your warranty information, respond to your queries and/or to keep you informed about EHP's related activities, and for us to otherwise conduct our business functions and activities.

By providing your Personal Information, you agree that it will be used and disclosed by EHP in accordance with this statement and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, then you must not provide your Personal Information, and we may not be able to communicate with you or provide certain services or products to you.
